Afghanistan relief: make a donation and give your help to Afghan families

Amid the chaos and despair, the International Committee of the Red Cross stands as a sign of hope to those whose lives have been changed forever.

The ICRC strives to bring humanity to the most challenging and dangerous situations in close collaboration with and in support of our partners in the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. By acting together, we can get life-saving aid to where it’s needed most.

Questions about donating

Clear information about your donation and how your support can be used.

How will my donation for Afghanistan be used?

Donations can support urgent priorities such as health care, physical rehabilitation, clean water, emergency relief and restoring family links. Needs change, so funds are directed where humanitarian teams identify the greatest impact.

Why consider a monthly donation?

Regular gifts provide more predictable support, helping humanitarian teams plan longer-term programmes while remaining ready to respond quickly when a new emergency occurs.

Is my online donation secure?

Donation platforms typically encrypt payment information and process it through specialist payment providers. This prototype does not collect or transmit any payment information.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Tax treatment depends on your country of residence and local rules. Donors should retain their receipt and consult the relevant tax authority or a qualified adviser.

Can I change or cancel a recurring donation?

Recurring donations can generally be changed or stopped by contacting donor services. Production copy should include the appropriate ICRC contact details and expected processing time.

Can I donate by bank transfer or another payment method?

The form presents cards, PayPal and bank transfer. Availability depends on the donor’s location and currency; final payment instructions should be confirmed during checkout.
